Cook Off Competition 2025 - Who Won?
Ponus Ridge Steam Academy partnered with Chartwells on March 24 to celebrate our second annual Cook-Off competition!
Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade faced off against each other in this competition to prepare the best meal. Each grade level team was represented by three to four students who were assisted by a chef from Chartwells. The teams picked a dish to make then served it to a panel of judges that included Principal Dr. Damon Lewis and Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling.

The sixth grade team, named Lady Glitter Sparkles, were assisted by Chef Leidys Martinez and chose Chili as their dish. Chef Walter Melendez helped the seventh grade team, Triple Threat, who chose Mac and Cheese with Grilled Chicken. And finally, the eighth grade team, They Not Like Us assisted by Chef Brett Harding, chose to whip up Chicken Pasta Alfredo.
All students worked diligently on their dishes as a team and when time was up, each presented their dishes to judges as well as served their dishes to their fellow classmates. After enjoying each of their meals, the judges declared team Lady Glitter Sparkles the winner!
