- School Improvement Plan shared with SGC members
- Columbus (now Concord) Magnet School (CMS) will move onto Ponus Ridge campus for Fall 2022. Administration of CMS, Jefferson and Ponus working together to ensure smooth transitions.
- Ponus community has all protocols in place for Covid safety & communicates cases and quarantines.
- Ideas for SEL/Family Activities/Events revisited

- Instrumental Concert- dates TBD
Students have been practicing & a wonderful preview concert video was shared with staff. They plan on performing live when restrictions are adjusted and will have more performances in the spring.

September 8, 2021
SGC Members present: Dr. Damon Lewis (co-chair), Colleen Connors, Jonathan Kinne, Deno Morgan, Evan Byron, Brenda Barto, Deb Morelli, Eric Niederer (parent co-chair)

● Upcoming Events Discussion (Bingo was a hit)!
Welcome back-
Great to see the kids back in-person and great start to the school year.
Elections-
Discussion of ending terms and needed replacements or additional terms.
Need person to take minutes as Mr. Jeanetti is off the SGC with expired term. Niederer to take Minutes for this meeting.
Four (4) parents with expiring terms or no longer qualified: Niederer, Dragotta, Fabrizio, Morelli.
Three (3) staff with expiring terms: Jeanetti, Barto, Connors.
Will check Bylaws on term limits and some members willing to continue, if needed.
Nomination/Election of new SGC members timeline:
9/8/21- Dr. Lewis will send an email tonight calling for nominations.
9/17/21- Deadline for Nominations returned. Ballots distributed.
9/24/21- Deadline for return of Ballots.
10/6/21- Next SGC meeting with any new members.
Learning models-
Face-to-face, in-person vs home bound, quarantined
Discussion of quarantine response- vaccinated vs unvaccinated.
If quarantined, chromebooks supplied, delivered if needed.
Discussion of home bound model and qualifying circumstances.
Upcoming events-
Discussion that Bingo program last year was a hit and want to do further social emotional activities this year. All agreed great activity and will think about additional programs.
